Bruce zastąpi Martineza w Wigan?

Coraz bardziej prawdopodobne wydaje się objęcie sterów Liverpoolu FC przez Roberto Martineza. Menedżer Wigan Athletic otrzymał oficjalną ofertę pracy od włodarzy „The Reds” i jego dni na DW Stadium wydają się być policzone.

Odejście Martineza z Wigan oznacza, że także „The Latics” muszą się rozejrzeć za nowym menedżerem. „SkySports” donosi, że spore szanse na etat w Wigan ma Steve Bruce, były szkoleniowiec Sunderlandu FC, który aktualnie nie posiada żadnego zatrudnienia.

Praca w Wigan nie byłaby dla Bruce’a żadną nowością. Doświadczony menedżer już dwa razy w swojej karierze piastował funkcję trenera „The Latics” w 2001 roku, a następnie w latach 2007-09.

Wielkim zwolennikiem zatrudnienia Bruce’a jest właściciel Wigan Dave Whelan. – Ja go nigdy nie zwolniłem. On sam odszedł od nas na rzecz Sunderlandu. Mamy z nim bardzo dobre wspomnienia – powiedział.

– Nie rozmawiałem jeszcze z nikim na temat pracy w Wigan. Na rynku znajduje się obecnie jeden, może dwóch klasowych menedżerów bez pracy – zakończył Whelan.
