Wenger pobił rekord Aleksa Fergusona

Arsene Wenger został dziś najdłużej pracującym menedżerem w historii Premier League. Francuz pobił tym samym rekord Aleksa Fergusona.

17 lipca 2017 roku mijają dokładnie 7583 dni od pierwszego meczu Arsene’a Wengera w roli menedżera Arsenalu Londyn. Blisko 21 lat temu „Kanonierzy” pokonali Blackburn 2:1. Od tamtej pory Wenger prowadził zespół w 789 kolejnych meczach, z których jego drużyna wygrała 456, 193 zremisowała, a 140 przegrała.

Wenger pobił dziś rekord Aleksa Fergusona. Od pierwszego meczu Manchesteru United w Premier League do ostatniego pod wodzą Szkota minęło 7582 dni. Ferguson prowadził „Czerwone Diabły” w latach 1986-2013, ale Premier League powstałą dopiero w 1992 roku i to od tej pory liczone są rekordy ligi.

Zarówno Wengerowi, jak i Fergusonowi daleko jednak do rekordzisty Anglii. Fred Everiss był szkoleniowcem West Bromwich Albion w latach 1902-1948.

Najdłużej pracujący menedżerowie w historii Premier League:

1. Arsene Wenger – Arsenal – 7583 dni od 1996 roku

2. Alex Ferguson – Manchester United – 7582 dni w latach 1992-2013

3. David Moyes – Everton – 4082 dni w latach 2002-2013
